Affiliate disclosure
This site earns commission on some outbound links. Here is how that works and what it does not buy.

Published in line with UK Competition and Markets Authority guidance on identifying paid-for promotion clearly, and the comparable expectations of the Advertising Standards Authority.
The arrangement
Several outbound links here are affiliate links. If you subscribe to a provider after following one, that provider may pay us a share of what you spend. Links that can earn a commission are marked as sponsored in the page code.
It costs you nothing extra
Commission comes out of the provider's margin rather than being added to your bill. The price is the same whether you arrive through this site or type the address yourself. No surcharge for using our links, and no discount withheld from anyone who does not.
How the order is set
A position in the rankings cannot be bought. The ratings rest on each service's published figures: channel and on-demand counts, the price per month at every plan length and the terms of the trial. The weights are shown in the scorecard on the rankings page, so the reasoning behind every position is on the page rather than behind it.
The drawbacks listed for each service are written the same way as the strengths: from the price table and the published figures, in plain words.
